In the summer of 1997 I went to Thailand and decided to detour to Nepal to see some of the Himalayas.

Though it was the rainy season I thought it still was possible to take a trip.

In Thailand I met Frédéric Gascon from Quebec and persuaded him to accompany me.

Before I forgot, I wanted to make a memoir of the trip.
